CenterThe purpose of Project Stigma is to support and raise awareness of individuals that have experienced Social Stigma. Social Stigma is the extreme disapproval of a person or group on attribute or characteristic from members of a society. An important aspect to Project Stigma is sending the message to affected individuals that they aren’t alone and this project is willing to offer all its resources to helping. Since Social Stigma isn’t a popular subject in society, there aren’t a lot of websites that offer help to the affected. Project Stigma will be the first website to offer help and will stay active in the future, striving to seek resources for individual’s wellness. Finding resources that support the individuals will require outside action because the resources can range from hot lines to actual clinics. As this project grows, more resources and innovating ways to offer the affected will develop.
